Angela N. Cook

President

Angela N. Cook is the President of the Association for Cultivation and Education (ACE) 501C3 tax-exempt non-profit organization. ACE is dedicated to uplifting our community through educating individuals and families to cultivate the seeds of success in their daily lives. ACE’s motto is “Giving, Sharing, Serving, Caring.”

Ms. Cook has been a resident of The District of Columbia for 57 years, and received her primary through high school education in DC. She is graduate of Calvin Coolidge High School, and received degrees from the then Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois and Montgomery College in Takoma Park, Maryland. In the past, she served as a Daycare, Primary & Middle School Administrator and teacher for a private institution.

Professionally Angela has successfully worked as a registered nurse (RN) in various major areas such as bedside care in medical-surgical, labor and delivery. She later worked as a clinic nurse for a teen pregnancy program and an advice nurse. She became a school nurse at various elementary schools and then at her High School alma mater. She completed her career working as a Nurse Care Manager for DC child welfare until retirement in September, 2021.

As a young woman, Angela was afforded the opportunity to travel widely to 6 continents & 13 countries. This fostered her desire to enter a helping profession and to create a means to partner with others in service to her community and Society as a whole. Her business, Waters of Life/Sa En Ankh Services was established for the purpose of enhancing the lives of others via childbirth assisting, health and wellness education and promotion. Through this and other venues, Angela uses her artistic talents to foster spiritual & cultural education.

Angela has extensive experience counseling and mentoring women & families in a variety of subjects including preconception, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, women’s, children’s and family health concerns. She loves teaching, partnering with and thus empowering others to take ownership of the health and well-being of themselves, family & community. Angela enjoys singing, listening to music, writing and traveling. She is a daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt and godmother. She has been married for over 45 years..

Ms. Cook’s unique experience, knowledge and leadership ability provides the skillset for Association for Cultivation and Education (ACE) to fulfill its mission “to nurture individuals and families culturally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.”
